Frequently asked questions
Can I visit you to talk through a job in person?
Yes. It helps if you call or email first so we can make sure someone is free to look at your parts with you. Bring a sample, photos or drawings and we can talk through the best way to coat them, likely costs and realistic lead times.
Who is this Help & Advice section for?
It is for anyone thinking about powder coating metal parts who wants to understand the basics before they commit. That includes trade customers, manufacturers, fabricators and people with one off projects who just want a clear explanation.
Do I need to know the exact finish before I contact you?
No. It helps if you have an idea of colour and use, but you do not need to know every detail. Tell us what the part is, where it will be used and roughly how you want it to look. We can talk you through suitable powder coatings and finishes.
Can you advise me if I am not sure whether to paint or powder coat?
Yes. Share a few details about the part, the environment and your budget. We will explain the trade offs between paint and powder coat and recommend what makes sense. Sometimes that will be powder coating, sometimes it will not.
What if I cannot find the answer I need here?
If the guides and FAQs do not cover your specific situation, just get in touch. Send a photo, drawing or a quick description of your parts and we will give you a direct answer based on what you are actually working with.
Do you charge for advice?
No. Basic advice is free. If you have parts you are thinking of sending in, we would rather you ask questions up front so we set the job up correctly from the start.
