Aluminium Powder Coating
Specialist powder coating for aluminium extrusions, frames and components.
Powder coating built for aluminium
Can you powder coat aluminium? Yes – and when it is prepared properly, it gives a tough, even finish that lasts.
We specialise in powder coating aluminium extrusions and components with a high quality, durable finish. Every part goes through a full pre-treatment process to remove oils, dirt and oxidation so the powder bonds properly and stays put. Our oven handles parts up to 7 m x 2.2 m x 3 m, so whether you are working with long profiles or compact sections, we have the capacity and control to get it right.
Built for aluminium, not just “any metal”
Aluminium needs a different approach to steel. If you skip the right prep, the coating can peel, bubble or fade before its time.
We run a dedicated process for aluminium that focuses on:
Thorough cleaning to remove cutting oils and surface dirt
Etching and pre-treatment to tackle natural oxidation
Careful drying so there is no moisture trapped under the coating
That prep is what answers the real question: can you powder coat aluminium and expect it to last? Yes – if it is treated properly from the start.

Powder coaters you can count on.
Capacity for long profiles and awkward shapes
A lot of aluminium work is long, light and flexible, which can make coating tricky. Our set up is built with this in mind.
Oven capacity up to 7 m x 2.2 m x 3 m
Suitable for aluminium extrusions, frames, gates, rails and profiles
Thoughtful jigging and hanging so parts do not twist or clash
Consistent curing so the full length of the part reaches the right temperature
Whether you are coating a one-off frame or a regular batch of profiles, you get an even finish from end to end, not hot spots and cold spots.

Durable finishes for indoor and outdoor use
Powder coated aluminium is a popular choice for doors, windows, railings, furniture and automotive parts because it looks good and is built to last.
We can work with a wide range of powders to suit:
Exterior use where weather and UV resistance matter
Interior projects where colour and consistency are the priority
Matt, satin or gloss finishes to match your design
Standard and custom RAL colours, subject to availability
With the right colour and finish, powder coated aluminium gives you a clean, modern look with a coating that resists chips and corrosion far better than basic wet paint.

Made to last. Backed by experience.

Frequently asked questions
Can you strip and recoat existing aluminium?
In many cases, yes. Old or damaged coatings can often be removed so the aluminium can be inspected, prepared again and re-coated. If there is heavy corrosion or previous coating issues, we will talk you through what is realistic before you go ahead.
Can you powder coat aluminium?
Yes. Aluminium can be powder coated very successfully as long as it is cleaned and pre-treated properly. Our process removes oils and oxidation before coating so the powder bonds to the metal, giving you a durable finish that resists peeling and corrosion.
What types of aluminium can you powder coat?
We can powder coat most aluminium extrusions, sheet, box section and fabricated parts. Cast aluminium can often be coated too, although some porous castings may need extra care. If you are unsure, bring or send a photo of the part and we can advise.
Is powder coating better than painting aluminium?
For most jobs, yes. Powder coating gives a thicker, more even layer in a single application and is tougher than standard wet paint once cured. It stands up better to knocks, weather and general wear, which makes it a strong choice for gates, frames, railings and other high use items.
Do you mask holes, threads or contact areas on aluminium parts?
Yes. If there are faces, threads or fixing points that must stay free of coating, we can mask them before powder coating. Let us know which areas need to stay bare, or mark them on a drawing or sample. Good masking takes time, so we factor that into the quote.
How long does powder coated aluminium last?
There is no single number because it depends on where the part is used and how it is looked after. With good prep and the right powder, aluminium used in normal conditions can keep its finish for many years. We can recommend suitable powders if your project is in a harsh or coastal environment.
